VISA INFORMATION BY COUNTRY

You may need a visa to enter the countries that you are visiting with us. Visa requirements can change quickly so the advice below should be taken as guidance only and exact requirements should be checked carefully.
 
If you are a British passport holder, we recommend visiting the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCDO) website to check requirements. Relevant links are provided below. Please also speak to your consultant for up-to-date information.
 
If you are not a British passport holder, then please check the relevant government's advice.

 Most countries require at least six months of validity and two blank pages in your passport regardless of your nationality.

SRI LANKA

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS - FCDO LINK
A visa is usually required in advance of travel to Sri Lanka. Visas cost $40 plus $10 admin for a 30 day visa, and can be obtained by completing the online form at www.srilankaevisa.lk. For Children below 12 Years, the Visa is Free.
We advise you to apply 2 weeks before you go.

A visa is required to enter India, but unfortunately, it's not a case of one-size-fits-all! For more information, please read our guide to the Indian e-Visa to help you through the application.

NEPAL

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS - FCDO LINK
All visitors to Nepal must have a visa. Passports should be valid for at least 6 months from the last day of your trip.
Though you can get a visa-on-arrival for entry into Nepal, we recommend getting a visa at the embassy in London in advance of travel, both for peace of mind and to avoid any queuing on arrival.
In theory, you can apply for the visa online and collect it on arrival. Note that this can only be done two weeks before.
Once your application is accepted, you must print the acceptance receipt and take it with you to Nepal. Upon arrival at the airport in Kathmandu and in the Immigration Hall, you need to go to the Bank counter on your left (as you enter) and pay the visa fees before heading through immigration.

VIETNAM

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS - FCDO LINK
For single-entry stays of less than 45 days, no visa is required. For longer stays or multiple entries, a visa is required; contact us for help with this.

British arrivals (and several other nationalities) can enter Thailand for 30 days without a visa (a visa exemption).

CAMBODIA

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS - FCDO LINK
A visa is required for Cambodia. You can obtain a visa-on-arrival, for which you will need US $30 cash (or equivalent) and one passport photo. When you book with ETG we can arrange for the visa-on-arrival fee to be included in your holiday cost as part of a fast-track immigration package.

A visa is required for Laos. Our recommendation is to obtain a Visa on Arrival at a cost of US $35 (all entry points). Two passport photos may be required.

A 30-day visa on arrival can be obtained at most major international airports. The cost is approximately $34 (500,000 IDR). For Indonesia, all international travellers must also complete the SATUSEHAT Health Pass (SSHP) via kemkes.go.id before departure.
