In this report, we've compiled data from surveys and insights from our customers to create a comprehensive picture of the future of travel. How has COVID-19 changed our attitudes to holidays, and are these changes here to stay?
We've divided it up into three topics that cover our wide-ranging research. Discover emerging trends, insights from your fellow travellers and predictions from industry experts, as we try to navigate the strange new landscape of travel.
It’s clear from our research that the desire to travel remains high – but, understandably, there is still uncertainty as to when it will be possible. In this section, we delve a bit deeper into the data on practical concerns surrounding travel, and the steps we’ve taken to mitigate them.
Since the pandemic, we realise more than ever that travel is not to be taken for granted. We are also more conscious of issues surrounding sustainability and making our trips count. So we know that when we do travel again, we want to be sure it’s truly worthwhile. In this section, we’ll explore the data on attitudes towards travel, the shift in interests and booking habits, and the increased demand for ‘bucket-list’ trips.
When we do travel again, what will those trips look like? Will we go short-haul or try to flee as far as possible? Are we seeking rest or a re-invigorating adventure? Ultimately, when we are once again able to ‘step away from the everyday’ - what will we be stepping into? We look to the data for insights.
