The first few nights of the holiday gives you time to settle into the country. Explore the country's capital at your leisure. We'd recommend trying some delicious local cuisine, wandering around the beautiful Hoan Kiem Lake and visiting the Temple of Literature – an old Univeristy dating back to 1070. Enjoy a boat trip along the Van Long River; float past caves, mountains, green rice fields, temples and small villages. Visit Kenh Ga floating village and watch life drift by on the houseboats. Take some time to relax poolside at your luxurious resort and sip a cocktail or two as the sun goes down.  Discover the 'inland Halong Bay' otherwise known as Tam Coc, characterised by beautiful mountains providing a dramatic backdrop to life on a sleepy, meandering river.
